Dreadlovers - Maintenance and sectioning - Crazy locks

Hello Dreadlovers....
Hi guys the biggest question I hear as time goes on is, how do you maintain dreadlocks??? Well I must admit when I first started my dreads, it was taking me up to 3 hours after every wash to maintain my dreads..... Please firstly just be aware that every person's journey is different, hence maintenance could be different, view other videos and take on what works for you. (there is no right or wrong) What I wanted when I started was perfect dreads, I soon realised that dreadlocks have a mind of their own.  As time goes on, I decided to go with the more natural approach to caring for my dreads instead of focusing on perfect.... Follow my journey and get some ideas as to what may work for you.  I do apologise for the quality of these two video's as time goes on, the videos improve... Cheers

Dreadlocks and working in the corporate sector - Professional Dreads

What can you do with your dreads to make them look more Professional

I know personally that prior to starting my dreads, the first question I had was what will people think.  I was concerned about work and what they would say.  The great thing about dreadlocks is that you can actually make them look more professional then natural hair and sometimes much neater.  Today I am just going to go through a few ideas on how you can wear your dreads for work.

Dreadlock Sectioning / parting for Man made Dreads - Rip and Twist method

Boo!

Why Hello to all of your Dreadheads out there or soon to be dreadheads...... The dread lifestyle is one awesome experience, it does take patience, but I am just loving every moment of my journey. So at this stage I am nearly a week into my Dreadlocking experience.....So EXCITED :) CAN YOU TELL! A little tired in the short clip I am just about to show you, but none the less, still very excited....

What I have noticed early enough to rectify is that my parting /sectioning was not so good, I had a couple of Dreads that were really loose that needed to be re-done, not only that, the parting /sectioning was quite thick which needed to be divided and separated into 2 dreads instead of one.... the reason I new this was because my hair was pulling and was not feeling right. You will see what I mean in the clip ahead.... If you are doing dreads yourself and not going natural, I would suggest you be very careful with your sectioning and parting. I didn't pay a great deal of attention to this and later down the track had to take a couple more dreads out to separate.
